"My PhD students, as of June 2008. Back: Yuki Watanabe, Donghui Jeong, and Masa Shoji. Front: Myself, and Beth Fernandez, who has just passed defense for her PhD dissertation (hence very happy). The department of astronomy at UT Austin has its tradition that new PhDs are given a T-shirt about their lives at grad school. For Beth's case, her T-shirt has something to say about the First Light in the Universe..." Link to Beth's website for more pictures.

WMAP THIRD DATA RELEASE!!
We are pleased to announce the release of the results and data from 5 years of WMAP observations. See the official press release. See also the press release from Johns Hopkins University, Princeton University, and the University of Texas at Austin.
->
See the WMAP misson page as well as the LAMBDA site for more details about WMAP itself, the third data release, and the delivered data. This is the happiest moment as always, as we don't have to work so crazy at least for a month or so after each release. Still, I can't wait to work on/digest/struggle with/get science out of/write papers about more years of WMAP data!
